This is Ron's second custom car that he had Rob Ida Concepts in New Jersey design and build for him. After they built his tastefully restyled Volvo P1800, Ron felt that it was time to treat himself to one of his teenage years favorites, a HEMI 1970 Challenger. Ron enjoys the finer things in life, and looks for "tasteful" over "radical", or "understated" over "in your face".

Tony's from Tones Tunes, General Lee Replica.
Like most kids that grew up with the Dukes of Hazzard, Tony always wanted to build a General Lee. So he figured he would buy A 1969 charger and with his skill and connections build one. Well problem one was finding a 1969 Charger in good shape for under $20,000.00 (Tony’s budget). Problem two was getting all the parts he needed. He found a perfect project car in Pennsylvania and had a friend tow it to him. It was in terrible shape everything was rotted out and the interior was non-existant. Even with his optimismistic attitude he just couldn't do it with that shell so he sold it for exactly what I paid for it and started over. So he then found a great running ‘69 Charger from a guy known as Mopar Sal with a great running 360 crate motor. Then with the help of the internet he made it into the best General Lee replica he could.

In a scene that is primarily dominated by blue ovals and bowties, some people might forget that there is a third domestic heavy hitter that has been tearing up the streets and drag strips for about as long as cars have been on the road. I'm talking about Mopars, or basically anything built by the Chrysler Corporation. For almost 20 years, there has been a loyal following of the beloved Pentastar in the Mopar Power Club of Long Island.

Dave and Cindy Brigati met approximately 14 years ago and for those that know them well would easily guess where, that’s right, the race track. This coming April they will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary. Today Dave and Cindy are definitely considered one of the hardest working couples involved in racing on Long Island. Their weekly schedule is unbelievably hectic. Besides helping to run the family owned business, WPW Growers in Huntington, NY. They manage to run their #98x NASCAR modified sponsored by WPW Growers, McBetts Race Engine, Oval Speed Unlimited, Vitales Karate Academy, FTHR Magazine and The Vinyl Answer Signs and Graphics every week at Riverhead Raceway. If that wasn't enough for them to deal with, Dave and Cindy are also acting board members for EEKR (East End Kart Racing) Go-Karts at Riverhead Raceway. Dave took on the role as the clubs President and Cindy became their Treasurer.

A long time ago in a land not so far away there existed and thrived the American “Performance Dealership”. Back in the day when if you weren’t buying a Ford, Chrysler or General MOTORS car or truck you weren’t buying anything, the American muscle car was born and bred in the crafty and creative “skunk works” of the big three American auto manufacturers.
Proline Put Son Their Biggest Show Yet

Proline has put on a number of shows in the past, some of which we have covered I this magazine, but this one was nothing like the previous ones. Usually the shows would be in their parking lot and encroach a little on the sidewalk but Will, the owner of Proline Car Stereo and Alarms, wasn’t satisfied with using his parking lot for this show. He needed the street, all of it, so he approached New York City to see if he could close a portion of Utica Avenue to have his car show. But that still wouldn’t be enough, the businesses on that stretch of road needed to be onboard also. Will got the answer he was looking for and put together a show Brooklyn has never seen before.
